Organizational sustainability and progressive growth depend on various factors; however considering the human element, it requires teams with a blend of skills, flexibility in approach and their understanding on risk tolerance.

Business Segment Vs Personality & Approach
By handling segments of different technological complexities, i.e. from standard systems to highly customized plans; people associated with respective businesses for extended periods develop their personalities and approach accordingly. They start moulding into a system and process that demand sets of defined approaches towards addressing the issues to achieve required objectives. Over time it becomes part of their personalities and strategies, i.e. some acquire rigidity, others tend to be flexible, and some build up a stable approach.
Handling customized systems involves more of customer or market-oriented approach where customer sets the rules of engagement. This develops flexibility in the personal approach.
Rotation within the business segments provides an opportunity for the individuals to understand the segment based demand and build their understanding of adopting the right approach based on changing market requirements. This can be made part of the individuals’ development plan. Teams evolve from this process keep challenging the set beliefs and keep trying alternative approaches to achieve the objectives.

Based on the complexity of the business type; product, systems and solutions individuals handling those over the period develop their risk tolerances correspondingly as risk-averse, risk-neutral and risk seekers.
Nonetheless, rotation of individuals within business types develops a more rational approach towards handling the risks. Professional risk assessment & management to be a mandatory part of organizational processes to get better results.
